4 lakhs raised form DPL Charity Match

Over four thousand people came to watch the Dhangadhi Premier League (DPL)’s inaugural charity match held at Dhanadhi Seti Anchal Police Ground. Despite the scorching heat, these cricket lovers stayed and enjoyed the match.

It was declared that the proceedings (after deducting the expenses) of the match would be directed at building Fapla Ground. The ticket price to watch the game was one hundred rupees and with the support of these fanatic cricket lovers, DPL was able to raise four lakh rupees from this match alone. Dream Fapla aims to build a ground of international standard.

The audience turnout was a clear indication of the strong love for the game in the far-western part of the country. Temporary parapets were brought to the ground from India that kept the audience from the heat.

It has also been declared that fifteen percent of the amount raised form the official matches of the league would be directed to Dream Fapla. The organizers are hopeful about raising a significant amount from DPL ticket sales and contributing for the project.
